The paper is concerned with error propagation in the ABS class of direct methods for solving linear systems, see e.g. \textit{J. Abaffy} and \textit{E. Spedicato} [ABS projection algorithms (1989; Zbl 0691.65022)]. It is also shown when the considered are optimally stable.
