The authors apply the theory of elastic pseudo-rigid bodies to the compressible Mooney-Rivlin material and establish the existence of both symmetric and asymmetric steady roto-deformations. They give sufficient conditions for the non-linear stability of the symmetric branch and carry out a linearized stability analysis for both branches.
