This is a short note on a columnwise procedure for successive overrelaxation applied to a linear complementarity problem, with attention paid to the case of a parallel computer. Although no numerical result is included, the paper has some interest due to the fact that it is a clear and well written discussion of the advantages of a columnwise procedure.
