The author gives a method for the approximate solution to the Gel'fand- Levitan equation: \[ K(r,s)+G(r,s)+\int_{-\infty}^ r K(r,t)G(t,s)dt=0 \] for the particular case with: \(G(r,s)=\sum_{n=0}^ N g_ n(r)g_ n(s)\).
