The cone and plate flow of an Oldroyd-B fluid in the limit of small gap angle was investigated and regions in \(De-\beta-Re\) space in which there are either zero, one, or infinitely many steady axisymmetric solutions for the infinite cone and plate problem were found. Closed-form analytic expressions for the leading terms in an asymptotic expansion of a steady axisymmetric solution were obtained.
