By interchange of summation the author shows that \[ F_2(a:\; -m,-n:1+a-e,\;e:1,1)=\frac{(e-a)_{n-m}}{(e)_{n-m}}. \] He applies this formula to deduce some transformations of Horn functions, e.g., \[ G_1(a,c-b,1-c:x,y)=(1+x+y)^{-a}F_4\left( a,b:1+b-c,\;c:\frac{x}{1+x+y},\frac{y}{1+x+y}\right). \]
