The author proves that a polydisc \(D^n\, (n>1)\) cannot admit a complete Kähler metric with its holomorphic bisectional curvature bounded between two negative constants: \(-c\leq K(\sigma ,\sigma ')\leq -d< 0\). The proof consists in studying a ``weighted volume'' and applying some results of \textit{S. T. Yau} [Am. J. Math. 100, 197--203 (1978; Zbl 0424.53040)].
