The author shows that, in the Banach space \(C[0,1]\) of all continuous functions on \([0,1]\), nowhere differentiable functions are typical in the sense of porosity (precisely, the complement of sets of functions which have at no point finite one-sided derivatives is \(\sigma\)-porous in \(C[0,1]\)).
