The author considers the equation \(x''+f(x)x'+ g(x)=0\) with \(xf(x)>0\) and \(xg(x)>0\) for \(x\neq 0\). She extends her earlier work on solutions with \(x(t)<0\) for all large \(t\), giving conditions on \(F(x)=\int^ x_ 0 f(s)ds\) under which \(\lim_{t\to-\infty} x'(t)\) is finite.
