Comparing different integral representations of the same function we find closed expressions for a number of useful integrals involving Legendre functions. Switching on the curless vector magnetic potential inside a cylindrical or spherical cavity and requiring nonvariance of their eigenvalues we obtain the sum rules for zeroes of Bessel functions.
