The sufficient conditions (not criteria) for nonsingularity are analogues for partitioned matrices of familiar diagonal dominance theorems, using Euclidean operator norms of off-diagonal blocks and least singular values of diagonal blocks. These are used to develop conditions for positive definiteness and stability.
