A characterization of compact spaces K and Banach spaces E such that the space C(K,E) of all continuous vector-functions has the weak Banach-Saks property (WBSP) is given. An example of C(K) and E with the WBSP, such that C(K,E) has not the WBSP, is constructed. Some related geometrical results are presented.
