On Dold manifolds (Q1263134)

Let P(m,n) denote a Dold manifold, and \(N_*\) the unoriented bordism ring. The main results of this paper are as follows. 1.) P(m,odd) bords for all m, and P(m,2n) bords iff \(m>2n\) and \(2^{\lambda}\) divides \(m- (2n+1)\) for some \(\lambda\) with \(2^{\lambda}>2n\). 2.) For a given number d, the set D(d) of the bordism classes of all nonbounding Dold manifolds of dimension d is independent in \(N_ d\) over \({\mathbb{Z}}_ 2\).
