In this paper, an example is constructed of a smooth fixed point free flow on the 3-sphere \(S^ 3\) having Lebesgue measure as an ergodic invariant measure. The construction proceeds by `Birkhoff-suspending' ergodic diffeomorphisms of surfaces constructed previously by \textit{A. Katok} [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 110, 529-547 (1979; Zbl 0435.58021)].
