The making of an exact (unambigous) choice from a set of feasible alternatives under a fuzzy preference relation is considered. Several alternative rules for generating exact choice from fuzzy weak preference relations are proposed that satisfy some rationality conditions. Both the conditions for choosing and rejecting the alternatives are discussed. The particular choice rules are compared against a set of reasonable rationality criteria, and the search for new preference-based choice functions is postulated.
