Let \(R\subset S\) be two orders in a number field, and let \(E_R\), \(E_S\) be their unit groups. The object of the paper is to bound the order of \(E_S/E_R\) in terms of the order of \(S/R\). In an earlier paper [\textit{J. Wolfskill}, Mathematika 42, 199-205 (1995; Zbl 0826.11050)], the author solved the problem for the case that \(S/R\) is cyclic.
