Computation of volume integrals whose kernel satisfies Laplace's equation by embedding the domain into a rectangular region and solving Poisson's equation inside and Laplace's equation outside. Sophisticated treatment of the singularities at the boundary points. The extension to similar surface integrals is discussed. Discussion of parallelization with fast Poisson solvers and presentation of some examples on an IBM SP. \(\copyright\) Academic Press.
