Asymptotic solutions and exact solutions for exceptional cases of some characteristic Cauchy problems (Q1269422)

The author studies a class of partial differential operators containing Fuchsian operators. He considers the characteristic Cauchy problem for those operators in the case where the so-called indicial polynomial vanishes and obtains the asymptotic solutions and the exact solutions to the characteristic Cauchy problem in both categories of analytic functions and of \(C^\infty\)-functions.
