The paper originally published did not explicitly explain why the induction proof of the Corollary to Theorem 4 works in the class of generic quantum matrices. In this addendum we provide more details and we clarify the induction proof of the corollary to Theorem 4 in [ibid. 193, 318-339 (1997; Zbl 0883.17016)].
