The author gives a sufficient condition for stability around \(2\) of \(L^p\) cohomology of a system over a locally symmetric space. As a corollary of the obtained sufficient condition, the author shows that the conjecture of \textit{S. Zucker} [Lect. Notes Math. 1468, 317-339 (1991; Zbl 0753.14017)] is true for the Hermitian locally symmetric spaces of finite volume of the arithmetical fundamental group.
