A study is undertaken of a non-standard filtration process in a porous medium where the interaction between the porous matrix and the fluid flow leads to the removal of solid particles and to the diffusion of a finite number of species. After deriving a system of governing equations with physical initial and boundary conditions, the author uses the Schauder fixed point technique to prove the existence of solutions.
