The authors prove several asymptotic formulas for the counting function \(N(t)=\text{card}\{j\mid|\lambda_j|\leq t\}\), \(t>0\), where \(\lambda_j\) are the eigenvalues of the operator \[ Au=-\sum^n_{i,j=1} \partial_j \bigl(p^{2\alpha} (x)a_{ij}(x)q(x) \partial_iu\bigr) \] in \(L_2 (\Omega)^\ell\).
