The problem of higher order Lagrangian equations and related Hamiltonian formalism is well known. The author discusses lifting Hamiltonian vector fields and Lagrangian equations to an extended vector bundle, an object which is not defined in the paper, seemingly, it is the iterated vector bundle for a given linear bundle. Unfortunately, the paper is not self-consistent and the terminology used is not common but based on the author's thesis which is not widely known. It makes reading rather hard.
