Torsional waves in a thick-walled elastic tube with boundedly pliable boundaries (Q1275984)

The author considers an infinite isotropic elastic cylinder with the internal radius \(a\), the external radius \(b\), the density \(\rho\) and the shear modulus \(\mu\). Studied is the propagation of an elastic stationary axisymmetric torsion wave along the \(z\)-axis in the case of elastic inertial support. Also the limiting case is discussed, when \(a\to 0\) for a fixed \(b\).
