The paper presents the solution of the problem on the explosion of a spherical trotyl charge enclosed by an air shell. The space out of the shell is filled with stoichiometric mixture of hydrogen and air. For various dimensions of the initiating charges, the authors determine the critical sizes of the spherical air shell which correspond to the onset of detonation.
