The paper deals with the mathematical modelling of a lung. A one-component model of homogeneous lungs is described. The lung is represented by an elastic bubble connected with the atmosphere by a pipe with nonlinear resistance. The author sets out some results of calculations showing the possible nonlinearity of resistance of the breathing passages as result of the liquid loss by the trachea or intrapulmonary breathing passages.
