Results concerning the exact lower bounds of Lebesgue-type functions of Hermite interpolation due to \textit{Szabados} and others are reviewed. The main result of the paper is based on the reviewed material and consists of an extension of a theorem due to \textit{Vértesi}. It gives exact lower bounds of Lebesgue-type function sums for the Hermite interpolation problem.
