The authors propose a nonlinear model for an age-structured population that migrates between a finite number of patches, generalizing their previous linear case studied in Math. Models Methods Appl. Sci. 8, No. 5, 905-925 (1998; Zbl 0936.92030). They show that the equations have a unique global solution under reasonable conditions, give estimates for the solutions, and necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of equilibrium solutions.
