Using the representation theorem of fuzzy numbers given in [\textit{R. Goetschel jun.} and \textit{W. Voxman}, Fuzzy Sets Syst. 18, 31-43 (1986; Zbl 0626.26014)], the authors have simplified the notion of an integral of a fuzzy-number-valued function. The simplification does not go over to the case of higher-dimensional fuzzy-number-valued functions.
