This paper gives an explicit eigenspace decomposition over \(Q\) for \(H(t,q)^T H(t,q)\) where \(H(t,q)\) is the rectangular \((0,1)\) matrix indexed on \(t\)-subsets of \(\{ 1,2,\ldots ,n\} \) versus \(q\)-subsets, and an entry is 1 if and only if the \(t\)-subset is a subset of the \(q\)-subset. Results on the problem modulo 2 are also given.
