For a linear elliptic operator of second order with discontinuous coefficients the Dirichlet problem is considered in the bounded domain \(G\) with a smooth boundary \((\partial G\subset C^2)\). The condition is presented for eliminability by applying the dimension of the set projection on a subspace.
