    The author continues to investigate the Grigorchuk group which is a not locally finite 3-generated 2-group. The main result of the paper is the explicit construction of maximal locally finite subgroups and the proof of a number of their interesting properties. For example, it is proved that any finite 2-group can be embedded into these maximal locally finite subgroups.
