The authors study the behavior of the trajectories of points from neighborhoods of neutral fixed points of infinitely smooth functions on the interval. Here a fixed point \(x\) of a map \(f\) is neutral provided \(|f^\prime (x)|=1\). Similar problems have been studied by many authors [see, e.g., \textit{A. N. Sharkovskij}, Ukr. Mat. Zh. 17, No. 5, 80-95 (1965; Zbl 0174.54303)].
