Sensitivity of solutions of linear DAE to perturbations of the system matrices (Q1281830)

The effect of perturbations in the system matrices defined by linear differential algebraic equations (DAE) is investigated. It is proved that these perturbations may be more useful in a more complicated perturbation pattern for higher index DAE than in the case of standard perturbations. Index-1 and index-2 problems are investigated. It is noted that the above problems are obtained in many nonlinear ones. Numerical illustrations show the effectiveness of the developed theory.
