The author considers a wavelet frame or Riesz basis, or a Gabor frame or Riesz basis \(\{\psi_{j, k}\}\) in \(R^n\), and finds conditions under which a perturbation of the generating function \(\psi\) or of the sampling sequence yield a frame or Riesz basis, improving results of \textit{S. J. Favier} and the reviewer [Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 2, No. 2, 160-173 (1995; Zbl 0829.46006)].
