Through the patterned method, i.e. using \(M_n\)-matrices, conference matrices, etc. \(\mu\)-resolvable \((d+1)\)-associate (group-divisible) partially balanced incomplete block designs are constructed. Here \(d\) is the number of factors of the number of treatments of the basic balanced incomplete block designs. Note that the patterned method may produce block designs with relatively large values of parameters, and also that the designs are not of practical interest for \(d+1\geq 3\).
