Shannon's entropy for the probability distribution \((p_1,p_2-p_1,\dots,p_n-p_{n-1},1-p_n)\) is called \(M\)-entropy by the author. Some properties of the \(M\)-entropy are studied. The \(M\)-entropy is maximized for the three cases, when arithmetic, geometric and harmonic means are prescribed.
