This paper is concerned with the action of the group \(F_4(q)\) on the cosets of Borel subgroups \(B_4(q)\). It is shown that the action is multiplicity free of rank \(q+3\). This subject is related to the classification of finite primitive distance-transitive graphs and it is shown that although the action of \(F_4(q)\) on \(B_4(q)\) is also self-paired, it does not arise from any distance transitive graph.
