During the last decade there were many attempts to solve the inverse problem of a paleoclimate reconstruction from concrete temperature data for different regions of the world. In this context there is need to investigate the stability of the solutions obtained and to develop effective solution methods. A method based on the reduction of the problem to a Fredholm integral equation of the first kind is developed in the article, and the Fredholm integral equation is then solved by a regularization method. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated.
