Theoretical and practical aspects of the efficiency of decision making units are discussed. Special attention is given to the so-called Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) models because they are not yet widely known/used in Russia. A new variant of the DEA model is considered which is equivalent to a classical one but it is more convenient for interpretations and modifications.
