The paper deals with the distribution of zeros of a monic polynomial whose sup-norm is given on a quasiconformal Jordan curve \(\Gamma\) or arc. It generalizes previous results by \textit{H.-P. Blatt} and \textit{R. Grothmann} [Constructive Approximation 7, 19-47 (1991; Zbl 0764.30003)] who assumed \(\Gamma\) to be smooth. Applications are given to the distribution of zeros of orthogonal polynomials, and of the Bieberbach polynomials and their derivatives.
