\textit{The Mathematical Tourist} column of \textit{Mathematical Intelligencer} is intended to present places worldwide where there exist mathematical tourist attractions. This article is published in this column, and it contains impressions and reflections on wall-paintings, displaying masterpieces from an ancient land destroyed by a volcanic eruption about three thousand years ago, in Akrotiri, Greece. The visitors (i.e., the authors) were deeply impressed by the fractal-like patterns met at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, and consider them \textit{the first ever instances of man-made fractal-like shapes}. In their opinion the ancient masters could perceive and tried to convey the fractality of Nature.
