The authors discuss two-dimensional flows of a viscous fluid over a rectangular etched hole. At low Reynolds numbers, the problem is solved by matching biorthogonal infinite eigenfunction expansions in different parts of the flow domain. Truncated asymptotic series are used to compute a finite number of unknown coefficients.
