An approach to the partition semantics of conditional logic was given by \textit{B. Skyrms} [see: Pragmatics and empiricism (Yale Univ. Press, New Haven) (1984)]. In this paper the author investigates the role and the place of Skyrms' semantics in the development of this subject. The version of Skyrms' theory of conditionals treated in the paper is based on the two following points: ``if \(p\) were to happen, then \(q\) would also'' is seen as related to conditional probability (it is true iff the conditional probability of \(q\) given \(p\) is 1) and the conditional probability is taken to be objective. It is shown that relaxing the deterministic assumption is possible and that Skyrms' approach covers the full spectrum of theories of the conditional.
