The author is concerned with the proximal properties of relators (nonvoid families of binary relations on a set \(X\)). The main result of the paper states that a finitely generated quasi-proximity is simple. As a by-product of a study of proximity properties of relators, the author obtains also the generalization of a result due to \textit{H. Kenyon} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 107, 1-9 (1963; Zbl 0114.01102)].
