Holomorphic hulls in terms of curves of nonnegative divisors and generalized polynomial hulls (Q1291033)

The authors apply a description of polynomial hulls in terms of divergent curves of nonnegative divisors to obtain some information about certain generalized polynomial hulls introduced by Basner, i.e. the Basner hulls of compact subsets of \(\mathbb{C}^{N}\), in particular a description of these hulls in terms of one-parameter families of polynomial maps, and investigate some properties of divergent curves of nonnegative divisors on Stein manifolds. The main result is a characterization of these hulls in terms of continuous families of varieties which is analogous to the well-known characterization of polynomially convex hulls.
