The author extends Green's function formalism to multipoint posed boundary value problems of a special type occurring in some situations in applied mechanics, proposing a version of the method of variation of coefficients to obtain an integral representation of such problems. He applies this method to particular cases as the steady state heat conduction in an assembly of rods, the bending of multispaned beams and fields of potential of joined shells of revolution.
