The author derives constitutive relations for compressible glassy polymers with finite strains under non-isothermal loading. The stress-strain relations are applied to the analysis of uniaxial extension of a viscoelastic bar. Explicit formulae are developed for the time-dependent Young modulus and Poisson ratio. The results are compared with experimental data for polymethyl methacrylate, polyethylene, polycarbonate and polystyrene.
