A curve smoothing algorithm is developed and applied to analogue/digital converted data implementing fuzzy set and spline theory applications. The data approximation obtained in this way produces smoother curves at the expense of increased distance between the smooth curve and the original discrete data set. A generalization applied to plane or higher-dimension curves is discussed as well.
