The authors study the normal structure of a tame embedding (with the disjoint disks property) of a closed generalized \(n\)-manifold into a topological manifold \(V^{n+q}\), \(q\geq 3\). The main result is an extension to ENR homology manifolds of the classification of neighborhoods of locally flat embeddings of topological manifolds obtained by \textit{C. P. Rourke} and \textit{B. J. Sanderson} [Compos. Math. 22, 387-424 (1970; Zbl 0218.57005)].
